PEACE TO ALL OF GOOD WILL

“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing, some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”  ~Hebrews 13:2

PEACE BE WITH ALL OF YOU!

Pope Francis reminds us that the Christmas message of the angels,“Peace to all of Good Will” echoes the same message of the angels in the Old Testament.

The Bible teaches that God ‘loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.’”

~Deuteronomy 10:18-19

Indeed, the Holy Family were also migrants in their journey from Nazareth to Jerusalem, and were refugees as they fled to Egypt. These special papal messages focus on encountering God through the most vulnerable by sharing the journey of migrants and refugees.

Our Holy Father’s message asks us to welcome, protect, promote and integrate them by:

expanding legal pathways for entry and no longer pushing migrants and displaced people towards countries where they face persecution and violence.”
