Homeless Summit for Faith-Based Communities

Dear Pastors, Deacons, Social Ministry Leaders and Volunteers ~Jesus does want us to come at least every Sunday so that he can physically embrace us with his love. But he also wants us to be salt and light once we leave here as well. We do that by sharing our bread with the hungry, sheltering the oppressed and homeless, clothing the naked, and not turning our back on our own.

The Office for Social Ministry would like to support the participation of clergy and lay leaders and volunteers interested in attending the Faith Based Homeless Summit at the First Assembly of God, located at 3400 Moanalua Road (ewa of Kaiser Hospital), Registration begins at 8:00 AM.
Day 1 – Clergy (Faith Leaders) – Friday, April 28, 2017
Day 2 – Lay Leaders and Volunteers (Congregation Members) –
Saturday, April 29, 2017
REGISTRATION: The cost per person is $30 and includes refreshments and lunch, however, OSM will provide a full scholarship for registrants representing parishes of our Diocese.
Step 1 – Go to https://ihshawaii.org/events/2nd-annual-faith-summit-on-homelessness
Step 2 – After reviewing the sessions being offered, select under QUANTITY:
Day 1 if you are a member of the clergy or
Day 2 if you are a lay leader or volunteer.
Step 3 – Click □REGISTER AS AN ORGANIZATION
Step 4 – Next to ORGANIZATION: type OSM. The contact info and address can be your information or that of your parish.
Step 5 – Under PAYMENT DETAILS, click BILL ME LATER.
Step 6 – Type in the necessary information to complete the registration form.
Step 7 – Under EVENT PREFERENCES, be sure to include the name of your parish.
Once you complete the online registration, shoot a quick email to me at OSM with your name and the name of your parish letting me know that you’re registered to attend the Summit. My email address is itamashiro@rcchawaii.org.
